I guess you would call me a rogue gardener. I have an acre and half of hill, much of which is wooded, where deer, squirrels as big as cats, raccoons, a groundhog and at least one resident barn snake roam about freely. There’s also a mother fox that often brings her kits/pups out to visit. I garden for fun but the one thing I get serious about is invasive plants.

Two of Nature's Own

These two deer are only part of the small herd that often visit my backyard, especially when there are apples on the big, old tree far back in the yard. I have a menagerie of animals that often visit. There's a fox who lives nearby and will sometimes bring her pups for a visit, a racoon with his little masked face and a big, fat groundhog. Oh, there is also a resident black snake who helps the cat keep away mice. Stay turned for more about these visitors.
